To the poster below: you should contact the department to ask, as no one on here who is a student could possibly know. I will say that I was shocked to get an offer of admission this early; I wasn’t expecting anything for another month. If you look at the history of UT PhD offers on here over the last 15 years, they usually come in late Feb or early March. I think this year might be the earliest first round of PhD admissions offers for this department in the history of this website’s records. Whether this means there will be additional rounds or not and/or whether all decisions have been made is unclear. If you’re an applicant to the MA program, it appears those decisions have not gone out yet. If you’re a PhD applicant and you didn’t get an email yet from Ms. Branton, maybe call or email them? No one here can tell you for sure.

I am the first poster from Feb 10th. Some details, in case they might be helpful: Canadian and specializing in political theory. Have a minor in political science from my undergrad (4 years ago). Major and MAs are in philosophy.

Any domestic/Canadian student got any offer from the Mathematics department? My application still says "under review" where I can see some post here got confirmation from uoft!

IR track, CP secondary. Canadian citizen with U.S. bachelors/masters degrees from two ivies. Admitted this evening via email from Carolynn; official admission and funding to come later this week. This program/school is my first choice so I will be accepting admission. Congrats to my fellow 2020 UT PhD cohort! Looking forward to meeting you all this September.

My credentials: immunology and health sci major @ UofT. MSc EEB @ UofT. Studied antimicrobial resistance evolution and epidemiology. 4.0 grad GPA (only took 1 course, really). 0 publications when I applied for PhD. I did not expect to get in and I applied for the hell of it. Good luck y'all!
