Rejected from PhD but offered admission to Masters of Counseling program

Interview day had 30ish people there of 5 or fewer spots.

sad, but not my first choice anyway, I wish they'd tell me why tho.

No idea how I got wait listed since I didn't even talk to my POI one-on-one. Such a confusing process.

Waitlisted but asked to be taken off- not a good fit for me.

Rejected post-interview. I didn't get the chance to have a formal interview with POI.

Interviewed 2/28. Notified via phone 2/29 of acceptance and awarded GA.

Rejected after interviewing. They had 26+ people interviewing for 3-5 spots so many of us didn't even get to interview with the professor we applied to work with. It was pretty frustrating to fly out there and not get to meet one on one with my POI.
