First rejection. I do not like their way of rejecting students. They do not even send applicants an email. The decision says overall, I am not competitive with other applicants. Maybe my low Grad GPA (3.46/4) hurts a lot. 4 published sci publications, 1 conference paper.Anyway be strong-hearted.

Admitted to the Geotechnical Engineering (GEO) area in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.

The acceptance letter included a link to a funding page that listed different ways to get funding. No mention of visit day.

No word on funding. The letter states that I should contact the faculty to find RA and the opportunities are not guaranteed TOEFL 107, undergrad GPA: 3.74/4, Master's GPA: 3.46/4, four SCI publications (one JCR Q1, and 3 JCR Q2), 1 International conference paper. grand prize winner of one competition held by AISC and ACSA.

I am finishing my masters at SU and I am ranked first there, so the acceptance and funding was expected before I applied.

The professor who contacted me offered me a full fellowship for five years PhD if I tell him I am gonna choose USC over MIT or Stanford.

Invited to visit day - the acceptance letter said that funding hasn't been determined, but I have a chance to get a fellowship/assistance position.

Did anyone receive result from graduate department? it's mid of June and my status is still under review. Does this mean i got refusal? please help!
