Reached out to grad coordinator who informed me about the rejection. No interview No GRE. Can't say I'm surprised as it was not a great fit.

This is honestly the most unprofessional and unclear reply I've gotten out of the 11 departments so far. Typos, vagueness, and the classic "you were such a good candidate, just not good enough apparently" and it took them this long to read through 230 applicants when UMich finished theirs months ago. ugh I'm sick of it. Glad I have an offer from somewhere else

Bummer -- I was excited to be a part of the Helen Zell Writers' Program.

The faculty who reviewed your application were impressed by the depth of your interests, the strength of your academic record, your research and leadership potential, and the enthusiastic letters written on your behalf. In short, you are an excellent fit for our department.

GPA=grad. Email says small number of candidates added to waitlist, reasonable likelihood of offer in the next few weeks.

GPA is MA. Didn't get anything, but saw everyone's responses on here so I followed up with an email. Email informing me of rejection. 0a/1w/8r/2p

Did anyone hear anything from Texas a&m or purdue. These are my last hope 😪

Unofficial offer from the POI during the interview

"I hope that you receive a more favorable decision from another program" Me too, bestie, but I don't think that's gonna happen!

No interview. Classical rejection mail.
