email from POI requesting phone interview

Phone interview request from PI

Interviews: February 2-5 or February 23-26 3 solid letters of rec, 2 years of research, 3 grants, poster presentations

Email from PI inviting me to interview for program

email about potential visit to campus

POI emailed and asked for phone interview. Fulbright Scholarship; 1 paper under review; 2 years of experience in a Cog Neuro Lab.

Interview weekend on campus scheduled for Feb. 2-4; likely great letters of rec + undergrad research experience since junior yr (TA position, summer research position, and behavioral neuroscience senior thesis), 1 yr of post-bac lab experience in an R1 school; 7 presentations (3/7 first author/presenter); 3 grants from undergrad institution

Invited to have a phone interview next week for one PI (week of December 19-23). Was told in the email that I will also be contacted by another PI from the program. Have had prior contact with the second PI. Second application to the program - waitlisted last cycle.

I applied for masters, they asked me to go for PhD. I wanted full-funding. Good profile, LORs and SOPs. Didn't the damn reason

Gutted but life goes on...good luck to the admitted few.

I believe I had an excellent sop and a few excellent recommendations . Undergrad percentage-79.4 % ( boiled down to GPA 3.96 according my undergrad university's calculation)

No update email, snail mail, or update on graduate admission status website, so I emailed the department for status update. I was informed by Otha Barrow that I was rejected "several months ago." Only to recieve official notification the next day of my rejection by email and website. This school was so unprofessional and lazy about communicating admission statuses, I wonder how they treat their students. I am thankful for this rejection

Full TA ship off wait list!
