Email professors on the fly about a RA. Got fully funded offer at another university for aerospace engineering PhD. Purdue propulsion has been my dream for a long time.

Went to a state school, have a high GPA, mediocre GRE scores, BUT have 2 years of research in an analytical lab, plus two summer internships at govt labs, one of which was DOE. Second author to one low impact paper. Very excited, didn't anticipate a response (much less an acceptance) so early!

I have submitted my application on 15 Oct and got my notification after 2 weeks. I have good publications, 12 papers.

3.77 GPA (WES) with TA experience

@The friend asked me to share my background B.S. Physics Nanyang Technological University no sub GRE 327+3.5 TOEFL 107

No funding....but excited!!!

Anyone wish to join Purdue together?

To poster below Purdue CS admit: What is your profile and how did you receive the communication?

Accepted to distance program. No publications, great LORs, 3 years software development experience, excellent letter of intent

Admitted to MSEd program. I received a phone call then an email. Previous MS from Boston University in CIS, BS in Mechanical Engineering. I am elated!!! Best of luck to all! :)

Other than the e-newsletter I have been unwillingly spammed with, this has been my only correspondence with Purdue since I submitted my all.

No word on funding. Told me to ask professors for RA. Also, apparently TA can't be given based on TOEFL score apparently. I got 110 with 26 in speaking. If I don't get funding, I'll have to pay full tuition fees which is ridiculous! Only going to go if I get some form of funding.
