Rejected from their PhD program, but accepted to their Masters :(

To the post below asking for more information of my acceptance - I've applied to PhD directly then got contacted by POI and application coordinator to change to Masters. I'm an international student.

To the University of Waterloo students accepted for MS Computer Science. Are you selected for the Coursework or Thesis option ? And are you international or canadian students? Not sure how acceptance and rejection is being rolled.

To the poster about UMN below. I am a student here. I asked about when will they start to admit students. They said for master it will be from around the end of April to May. I did not ask about phd though, but I guess it would be somewhere around April.

I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the M.S. in Robotics program at Carnegie Mellon University. We received over 550 applications to the Robotics Institute Masters program this year. Our graduate programs can support only a limited number of new students. Unfortunately, we could admit only a fraction of the applicants, even though many more had strong qualifications. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

No departmental funding =/

2nd decision... 2nd reject... :(
