Like the others below, i was told that I wasn't accepted or wait-listed, but had not been rejected. This is the response that everybody who emailed the graduate director seems to have gotten, so I think it is almost certainly an implied rejection.

First reject after 3 admits, do not care.

I emailed the Dpt and got this back: "Those who are being offered admission to the PhD Program in Philosophy have been contacted, as have those who are on the wait list. The Graduate School will send letter to all other applicants shortly."

Emailed department. Told me not rejected, but not offered acceptance (they offered seven of these) and not on wait list (seven of these). Maybe slim chance.

Email sent last Wed., contacted Grad Admissions Chair, email for some reason didn't go through.

Informal mail from a professor who works in the same lab with my POI.

Had a Skype interview with POI and talked about my research interests and methodological background. The POI said that final decisions including list of admits and waitlists would be made next week.
