Admitted to the ethnology program with guaranteed .25 funding, PI suggested it would more realistically end up .5 funding.

Accepted with funding details still to follow.

Rejected w/o interview

I was told in person at AAFS on Feb. 18th and received email confirmation on Feb. 21st.

"Although, we remain very interested in your application to the Ph.D. degree program in Anthropology, we are not yet able to make additional offers of admission for those applicants who have been given alternate status. We apologize for this delay. As an applicant with alternate decision status, you will be contacted as soon as an offer of admission can be extended or as soon as the department has determined a full entering cohort and can therefore make no additional offers of admission."

Had two good interviews so was hopeful. Settling in to hear "later in the spring" whenever that is

To the UT Austin Socio-cultural post below: I haven't heard anything from the program either.

To the poster below, I applied for the Archaeology stream, and received a notification of acceptance a few days ago, with details about campus visit. Awaiting funding details. I'm an international applicant.

Welp, I can hope that the person who got in gets a better offer and opens up the spot, but if not congrats.

To the person who was accepted to linguistic anthropology below, congratulations! However, if you get an equal or better offer somewhere else, please give up the spot to let me in, this is my absolute top choice.

Has anyone who applied to the archaeology stream at Penn heard back yet?
