Email about status update in portal. Generic form letter linked in portal

This is from a current member of the MFA at MNSU, we had problems with finding funding last year, and that's because it's a different process. Search MNSU assistantship and start applying. It's a bit of a different process than other grad schools, but there's a ton of funding, I promise.

Standard form rejection. Good luck to everyone! 1a/1r/6p

Received email to check the portal.

checked website

Checked portal after seeing results posted below--alas!

Checked website because of user below saying an update was provided. I got the same rejection.

checked the website on a whim and an update to my status was posted today.

Talk about hurt and embarrassed! This was my first notification of the season. It hasn't set the tone for the rest of the season, fortunately. Best of luck writers! 1a/1w/2r/5p

1a/1w/3r. No word on funding in the official acceptance email, but international students were required to submit financial affidavits and TA applications with their main application. I spoke to the director a few weeks ago – he said that if I've made it clear on my financial affidavit that I can't fund myself, I'll only be accepted if MSU can fund me. So I suppose they're funding me!

Email from Richard Robbins, no word on funding for the next 7-10 days. I'd love to get connected with someone who has gone there. Anybody?

Email from Director of the Program. No information on funding, but I understand their TAships are a different process. Very excited! 2a/0r/4p

Just checked the portal and it said admission decision with a denial letter. Good luck to everyone else!

Talked to the program director and found out I have a *favorable* spot on the waitlist. Here's to hoping this is the year (and also hoping that those already admitted choose to take their talents elsewhere). 0a/1w/3r/7p

Same as the poster below; can't admit cuz can't fund; my first waitlist; wateves, got into Purdue and FSU with full funding anyways; 7 more to hear back from.
