Interview on Jan 30th

Received notice of admission after a Skype interview Sunday. This has been one of my top choices for a very long time so I am excited!

:) surprised as there is another interview date on 2/17

I have contacted the dept via e-mail and was kindly told that all the places had already been offered. Official rejection letter is to arrive later.

Had the same message in the status page. Got a rejection email tonight.

Devastated... my top choice graduate program...

My application status also says "A decision regarding your application has been reached" etc, but I haven't been contacted yet.

Penn State poster below: do contact the department. In my case, they got back to me and reported an email malfunction. It was a rejection but it is best to know.

Skype meeting with POI talking about research interests, the program, and recruitment week. Email about recruitment to follow this week.

Informal letter from the director. Funding info not mentioned. Formal letter on the way.

They had an email malfunction on Friday, so despite a portal change to "decision made", I did not receive an email. After emailing the office, I received a prompt response.

Emailed by dept. head to schedule a Skype interview. Talked ~30min about the program, research, and grad recruitment week at the end of February. Invitation to recruitment week to follow via email.

My application portal has the same message: "A decision has been reached, etc., etc.," and I was rejected via email yesterday.

Penn State Poster Below: I have the exact change on my portal. Why would they say a decision has been made and then take days to notify? It feels like a rejection but I am hoping for the best!
