I think this is it for me unless Michigan somehow bucks the trend. 6r/0w/1p Glad to have thrown my hat in the ring this round—good luck to everyone and congrats to those who got accepted/waitlisted.

Very nice call from the director, followed by an email from Terri. 2a/1r/0w/8p

Well this sure makes up for getting rejected from Syracuse this morning!

Call from Sam Chang––she says they're a bit behind this year and today (2/17) was the first round of notifications.

Just got off the phone with them. So excited about this program.

It hurt, and makes me antsy since I applied to lots of other highly ranked schools. Not feeling great, but not shocked because my writing sample could have been stronger. Generic form email. A little peeved they sent these on Valentines day but oh well... 0a/0w/1r/0p ALSO: my partner received an email from Cornell about two hours before my rejection came. He was waitlisted for the fiction track, if anyone was curious!

“Dear Applicant” is the kind of the thing that will make me never apply to a school again. If you’re going to be that generic, revert to a portal that just says “DENIED”
