Structural here. Still have yet to hear back as well. Tempted to send an email requesting status, but don't want to annoy them.

Didn't receive any kind of mail, I just checked their website and the rejection was there.

RIP :( Where did you get that info? I contacted Prof. JF back in Dec. His reply was short: "You are welcome to apply". I don't know what to make of that. Just to be clear, are you the same person who got waitlisted? To avoid communication confusion just call me @Columbia747.

TTPB: Hi, I have also applied under Prof. JF and Prof. HW. I have heard that they both do not have funds to support new graduate students. So I pre-assume that if that is the case, I am rejected. I have heard TA funding are bit difficult to get. Have you contacted any of them?

TTPB: Hi, I had submitted my application on 11 Dec, 6 Jan informed that my application is in review, and later informed that my application is on waitlist. I had added Prof. SS ( poi initials). GRE: Q: 156, V: 154. GPA: 3.60, Two conference Papers and technical presentation. Who have you added as your poi in application, initials?

TTPB: My area of research is solid mechanics. When did you apply? and When did they inform you that your application process is in review? I applied on Dec-12 and was informed on Jan-6 that my app is in the departmental review. No update since then. Do you mind sharing your profile? GPA, GRE, Research Experience?

TTPB : I got admitted to the structural track. I applied for phD but no funding so ..... My GRE was Quant 170 Verbal 151 AW 3.5. Also 2 publications and presentations in conferences. Graduated at the top 3% of 200 students.

TTPB: No reasons specified. But I believe it might be because of funding issues. What is your area of research?

TTPB: I haven't heard anything from Columbia since they informed me that my app is "currently marked for review by the faculty admissions committee". They have already sent interview offers to MS applicants though. Did they give you any reason for waitlisting?
