TTPB: did you have an interview before notice of admission?

For posters below asking about CS masters. I was admitted to ML track with an interest in unsupervised learning. Excellent grades at a Canadian University and some research experience but no published papers. The funding scares me so I am unlikely to accept the offer.

BS 3.2/4.0, MS 3.9/4.0 (Taiwan), 2 1st and 2 co-1st author

Has anyone heard from UCSD for the Computer Engineering track?

Potential advisor called to give the unofficial news, received official the next day!!

Got an email saying there was an update and to check my portal. I was rejected and they did not list a "reason." Not a "top" student but I have an above-average GPA and one full year of research experience.

Formal offer from the department. Systems, PI with coding tasks

average profile, im surprised i got in. emailed at midnight to check portal.

3 journal papers, undergrad from one of the top Indian universities, research experience of 2.5 years, thesis at UAlberta.
