Kind of expected - MS in I/O Psych with a 4.0 GPA from an R1. I am making a career switch so I only applied to two programs that I felt were very very strong fits. Im also a non-traditional student. It will be okay though :) Happy for everyone that was accepted. 0a/1r/1p

After consultation with the program and after a thorough evaluation of your credentials by The Graduate School, I regret to inform you that you have been denied admission for graduate study to the Sociology:PHD program at Northwestern University. Because your interest in the University is deeply appreciated, this decision is not easy to convey. Though your plans cannot be accommodated at Northwestern University, the faculty and administrators of The Graduate School respect your intellectual ambition and wish you success in attaining your goal of advanced study.

Please decline the offer if you are considering another program. This is my top choice :(

First rejection! Understandable. I’m bummed bc I love the social scene but it wasn’t the best research fit for me. Bay Area I will be back for u eventually…

I also already decline this offer, good luck to those on the waiting list.

Was emailed by the Director of Graduate Studies and told I was placed on a short waitlist due to a limited number of 5-year funding packages available. The graduate admissions committee was otherwise "very impressed" with my application.
