At this point, whatever. 14th rejection. Decent research experience, with a review paper at an international conference and a best presentation award at a national conference. 116 TOEFL, 335 GRE, 9.5 GPA from a central university in India. 3 internships, one in data science and the others in software engineering. Might go to UMass, might apply again next year because no TA/RA. Advice? Turned down USC and UChicago on the 15th. Had hopes for a much better admit season.

It was a safe university. Had 3 years Work Experience!.

Got the rejection email today. Was put on the wait-list last week. Last nail on the Fall 2019 coffin for me!

To the Dartmouth poster below: nope. I was waitlisted on Feb 20th. I mailed them a few weeks ago asking about it and didn't receive a response.

Received an Update pending mail yesterday morning, and now the status has changed to denied.

To the people who have been waitlisted for MSCS, have you received any notification now?

TTPB: Does that mean everyone will know by April 30th?? or could it possibly take even longer? I saw last year that they accepted a handful in May

TTPB : I gave my digital interview on Feb 21 st.. later one of my recommenders got verification email.. I haven't heard anything from them.. I emailed them regarding the status .. I got a reply like " Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an exact date of when your application decision will be available nor can we expedite the application review process. Applications are reviewed by a small admissions committee. The review process typically requires 6-8 weeks after your application is completed online for various reasons. Be assured, you will be notified of the result of your application review as soon as possible electronically."

Attended the CLSP Open House in February. Area: NLP, 2 publications, good recommendations, top 15 school for BA and MS. It seems like they invited more people than they could accept this year. Enjoyed visiting anyways, although I won't be applying next cycle. 10/10 rejections. Congrats to those that got in. See you guys next year!

My application status is still "submitted" for over 3 months now

I found out today that they have extended the final date for admissions decision by April 30th. Seems like we would need to wait a couple more weeks.

Have any waitlisted candidates heard anything back from the department about their status?

Still no news about funding. Anyone knows how many PhDs are admitted without funding? Only offer till now. Should I go with no funding and look for jobs or apply for Spring 2020?

The reception was only for the domestic admits right? I mean how can an International student reach there that early? Are you sure they won't send out any more admits? I had an interview in late March.

Is it true that the people who get interviewed will get an admit? I've read it on yocket. Can anybody confirm?

I am still waiting for my decision as well. I did submit an interview mid-late March.
