expected, but still sad

Oh well. I got into one of my top choices, so this doesn't bother me all that much.

Applied for IR. Not the best fit so not too surprising. In at stronger programs, thankfully.

"Based on the recommendation of its faculty, we regret to inform you that Vanderbilt is unable to offer you admission to this program..." This one stings some....

This communication is in response to your application for admission to graduate study in the Biomedical Engineering (M.S., Ph.D.) program at Vanderbilt University. Based on the recommendation of its faculty, we regret to inform you that Vanderbilt is unable to offer you admission to this program. If you have applied to more than one Vanderbilt program, you will receive a separate communication regarding your application to each program. We received a significant number of graduate applications this year; thus, we are faced with the unpleasant task of turning down a number of well-qualified applicants. We wish you well in your endeavors. Again, thank you for your interest in Vanderbilt University.

Interviewed last week. Really liked the program but my interviews did not go real well. I have 2 years of lab experience and a third author on one microbiology pub. Sad :( Hope my other interviews go well...
