Anyone hear from NYU?

Got into my first choice, so I'm not really upset. Connecticut sucks, anyhow :)

Rejection right in the email body so no fooling with logging into a portal or downloading a PDF.

Nice email from program director. Offered to accept me to the Public Anthropology MA, but I applied to that last year and was not given enough money to attend so will definitely turn down. Such is life

Emailed two separate people within the department after no news since December. No response for two weeks until finally one of them responded to let me know that I’m not even being considered for admission. So where was the rejection letter?

MPhil application. Application submitted on the first of January.

Admitted to the ethnology program with guaranteed .25 funding, PI suggested it would more realistically end up .5 funding.

Accepted with funding details still to follow.

Rejected w/o interview

I was told in person at AAFS on Feb. 18th and received email confirmation on Feb. 21st.

"Although, we remain very interested in your application to the Ph.D. degree program in Anthropology, we are not yet able to make additional offers of admission for those applicants who have been given alternate status. We apologize for this delay. As an applicant with alternate decision status, you will be contacted as soon as an offer of admission can be extended or as soon as the department has determined a full entering cohort and can therefore make no additional offers of admission."
