TOEFL 100, 5yrs work ex in Software Dev. Was rejected due to an insufficient background in CS (my undergraduate degree is in ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering)).

Its May 2 and Waterloo hasn't given a yes or no on both of my applications. Need to know very soon. Would otherwise have to go somewhere else.

I was asked whether I am still available and then after week my admission decision was updated on my portal.

Received a notification that I am on waitlist and should expect a result starting May 6.

Seriously, how long will decisions take? Applied in mid February, interviewed on the 21st, and radio silence since then. Have started the process to go to UMass, but this is so annoying. It's May already.

Inside the application they have provided a communications tab to ask any questions about your application. Does the admin even read those messages? I've used it on 3 separate times but never got a response.

What are they still waiting for? It's already May!

Guess they are just sending out their last round of rejections......

Have not heard back form them, my status still shows "Submitted". When are we suppose to hear back from them? I had applied in early December. I have accepted offer from UT Austin.

Applied for MMath in CS in December. Was not interviewed, so this was sort of expected.

TTPB: I think emailing POI should help, I emailed my POI back in mid April and he confirmed that he would no longer take anymore students for the next round, although he said I might still get admitted by the department but I think he was just being nice. This definitely helped me with my decision to accept offers from other schools while waiting for McGill, which I still have not had a result.

After 3 fucking months of waiting for a rejection.

Did anyone mail Ann Jack yet?? I am confused as to how long do we need to wait. I am also thinking of mailing POI, but not sure if that would be helpful.

Extremely happy as this is my 1st admit after a long cruel wait. Non-IITian. Some really good research projects in AI and ML. 2 strong LORs and 1 probably decent. Research experience at Google HQ. 333 GRE, 115 TOEFL,decent GPA. So happy these folks don't just go by the prestige of the undergrad college but value other just as important things too.

Still haven't heard back from Align NU MS in CS ( Sj campus): Has anyone else?
