I've been accepted for the Summer 16 program in MSCS - Data Science, but I'm not sure if my official undergraduate documents will be ready by early June. I can leave early but its better for me to have all documents ready before I do so. Does the university offer Summer 16 only or can I ask them for postponing my admission to Fall 16? PLS HELP.

Ubiquitous computing track. 3 Publications.

To the USC poster below, it is just a speculation that admits are being sent out based on the pointers. You still stand a chance, so don't worry just because of this speculated trend.

Been admitted to EE MS at USC. BS from EE at Bilkent University. This was safety. No hard feelings..

My GPA is 9+ but I haven't heard from USC. I am really scared. Will they send out more admits?

does anyone here know any seniors at UCI who can ocntact the admission dept.. or has somebody contacted them regarding MS CS results?? They have been silent so far...given the fact that their deadline was way back in december

UG-61% PU. 2 internships 2 projects 1 international paper.

By the submitter of the 'GPA based poster': Thanks for your responses! Yes I have heard this from many others that the quality of education provided at USC is not worth the money we pay. Even I would prefer a lower ranked college like NCSU or Stony.

Not going. It was the safest school. Waiting for Stony Brook result. Else NEU it is.

To the UCSD poster below- Was your status "In review" or "Under review" before getting the admit?

Yeah, they admit tons of people, especially intls. Their algorithms class has like 500 people, totally ridiculous. They'll take your money and weed you out if need be. I don't even care if I get in, I'll be happy to go to a lower ranked school that's a great fit for me. They even transferred my application to one of their 37 unit programs instead of the 28 unit one. All about the money. USC is in a bad neighborhood too.

CS undergrad from a reputed college with 2 years works exp.

It s true that USC is following CG to admit for Masters. It is really a stupid thing. One of my friend joined last Fall is regretting for selecting USC.Large sized classes ,many international students from unrecigonized universities were admitted due to high CGPA without good knowledge. He says batch standards are going down due this policy

B.Sc and MS from PKU. Chose AI/ML as the first preference.

Big Deal. Already admitted to a top 5 school. Was not going to join anyways. They have admitted many folks with much lower profiles. Good that they didn't keep me waiting. Best luck to all those in waitlist.

Came as a huge relief.
