3 yr exp in mnc. No research. Undergrad from top tier college in India. Good recos. But a reject alas :(

3 yr exp. solid recommendations. No research.

Is there anyone whose decision status is not applied. I could see an avalanche of rejects yesterday. What does this means for us guys? Another avalanche is coming soon?

2 years of RA 3 papers 2 strong letters and 1 weak letter

expected.. Maryland finishes their admission process by February.. Batch strength is around 15-20, so tough to get in. Note for the future aspirants: good GRE score(mostly quant) and a focused research will increase your chances to get into UMD.

3 IEEE papers. 2 yrs Work ex in a R&D center. Low gre might be a reason for rejection.

What a disappointment. I was pretty sure I would get into it. Undergrad from a top tier Indian college, internship at an MNC and 3 yr work-exp also in an MNC with very descent GRE and TOEFL scores. Sigh! I can hear the sound of my dreams crushing..
