Replying to post asking about interviews, the answer for me is no, no interviews whatsoever. The only contact was for them to change my application from the regular 3-year program (after the ILCC funding was rejected) to the CDT one. Very sad and disappointing.

I contacted Prof. Liu, Xue who agrees to supervise me in the last minute. The next day, I got the official offer. I am so happy that I could got to McGill. Good luck to all the other students who are still waiting for the result.

Similar rejection message to the poster below. I'm pretty sad about it. This concludes all the schools I applied for, 5/5 rejections. I was particularly hoping for this one, especially after the application was transferred to the CDT program, since my CGPA (3.44) is on the lower side. But I have a good publication record, (total of 11 papers in various NLP conference). I don't know what to do with my life now.

TTBP: I received the mail on 6th May. I had sent them a mail asking when they give out the decisions.

Had an interview but it wasn’t satisfactory. Rejection is expected but this is quite late though.

TTPB: The last professor I contacted is not among the professors I listed in my online application or in my statement of purpose.

Tier one college in India (Computer Engineering). One research paper published in a reputed conference on ML. One research intern at a university in the USA. One corporate internship experience as a Software Engineer. AI Summer School. Speaker at an international Computational Intelligence conference held in South America. Applied to 6 schools (3 USA, 3 Canada), rejected from all of them for FALL 2019 (Masters in CS).

TTPB: so for the last prof that agrees to supervise you, is he one of the POIs that you mentioned way back in the 3-question whatever thing? or is he someone that you had not mentioned in your application files?

In response to some banners below: yes, I applied for the thesis option. I submitted my application last November. Then I contacted several professors, but very few of them replied to my emails. About two weeks ago, I reached out to another professor and finally got a positive reply. There are too many applicants this year.

I had hope, my god, I live on it. anyway, McGill ended up disappointing me more than, more than any of the other silly schools.

My file is still in the submitted status. No one got in touch with me since the application. I got no responses from the Potential supervisors. I emailed Ann about it today asking if mine was even being considered or not. This is their response: "Our last day to approve files is May 21, 2019. As files are still being reviewed. We have received over 1000’s of applications and our committee is still making their decisions. We thank you for your time and patience." Just reject the people you are sure of not taking. Why delay something so much. They have had months.

Is any one waiting for UC Davis? I applied in December last year still haven't heard back from them. Why are they taking this much time I hope I will get results by next year!!

To the banner below, you must have applied to for thesis ? I guess only the thesis people need to contact the prof. Or is there anyone from non thesis who applied to non thesis and contacted a professor too ? And also got an admit for the same ? Would be a huge help in knowing

Not PoI. They mentioned today is the internal deadline.

To the banner below - it's true that some professors just don't reply emails. I think what you can do is to email other professors. You can identify professors that you want to work with and then send them emails. But actually it's a little bit late now, but you can still try. The professor I contacted told me that it was already a little too late when I contacted him. I am really lucky that he still accepted me.
