Email to check portal.

Received a notification via e-mail to check the status update. Disappointed but not unexpected.

Standard/short email to check the portal: Thank you very much for applying to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Yale University. I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission. As you know, the very high number of extraordinary candidates far exceeds the number of places we have in each program, and we are not able to admit many excellent candidates.

Standard rejection letter; email to check portal

Just happened to check portal

Sorry for the slightly late post here--email to check the portal. I also saw the article about Yale only accepting 3 students on The Chronicle for Higher Education. I just wish they'd told people ahead of time so I wouldn't have...you know, spent my time, money, and energy

TTPB: Was it an unofficial email or an official one? How much is the stipend?

TTPB: interviewed at the end of last month

Got an e-mail to check the portal! Received generous funding as well - super excited!

2 year RA predoc; math major

Had to check the portal to see my admissions decision. 0a/5r/0w/1p

TTPB Congrats!! were you interviewed?

Unofficial offer from the co-director

I keep reading on this forum that they only accepted 3 people this year. Where is this information coming from?

Queried the professor I was interested in working with on 2/5, received a reply today with kind words about my application but notifying me that I will not be offered a place. Did not interview, so not unsurprising. Good luck to everyone!

Second rejection this year and I can slowly feel the light go out within me. 0a/2r/6p
