To the poster below who got admitted to University of Maryland, College Park (PhD in Transportation): How did you know about your funding? Is it only after you accepted the offer that they let you know about the fellowship and the RA thing?

Does anyone hear from UMD chemical engineering? only see someone posted on February.

Experimental background in physical chemistry and hard condensed matter for 3 years (summers and part-time during semesters). Very low GRE subject score. Very, very good LOR. No publications at application, but in the middle of 3 (where 1 am first author)

To the poster below: I was waitlisted for the school psychology PhD program. I received a nice email for the department head saying I had been waitlisted.

After I saw some admits last month, I didn't think I was being considered. We'll see!

The seventh rejection in a row

Applied to their PhD program. Got an email informing me I can either be placed on the waiting list for PhD or they would also be willing to offer me admission to their MS program. MS program doesn't have any guarantee of funding however. Not sure what I'll do.

I want to know the profiles of yours who got admitted! Mine: 3.5 gpa, average gre, experimental AMO background. One submitted paper to a good journal in optics.

I'm the one who had posted about the acceptance. I had an interview with POI mid to late Jan post which I received the offer letter via email from the PhD Director. Status online has changed to under Grad Review as of now. Not yet updated to reflect the offer. All the best to you both!

To the poster below about UMD. I checked my online application on Monday and it said "Admission Decision Available" and there was a link to a rejection letter. Fingers crossed that you get accepted or at the very least, wait listed! And congrats to those who did get accepted!
