Applied 1/15. I didn't receive initial admission. Grad administrator hinted I was on a waitlist as the department waited to here back on the intentions of those in the initial offers. Still waiting for developments. May make a trip up from Austin to visit campus this week. Any word on my status was prompted by my inquiry so far. | ||||

I received the notification only after begging the graduate administrator to communicate the decision. Although it is one of the top Latin American literature programs in the nation, I lost respect for the way they handled the notification process. She told me they sent out results two weeks ago, so they've clearly known for some time now. | ||||
