I went ahead and started a thread for accepted Brown CS and DS people under meet & greet in the forums. I was looking to get a group chat or something going, if you guys are down.

Absolutely excited! Heard back yesterday through email. Best of luck to everyone else, will try to answer questions. In regards to my background: one internship as a Technical Consultant, and undergraduate research project involving Machine Learning.

My 1st offer. MIDS, just launched this year, so the bar is not very high although there were many applicants. Glad I got the offer, but still waiting for other schools.

Accepted by Duke via email, but will decline. Discussed with the faculty during the interview and realize the course framework and resource allocation is really a mess. Maybe because it is a new program. The tuition is also super high. Got better offers from schools at better locations too.

Will receive updates during the first week of April!

Duke is probably my top choice, so I'm really excited! I received an email today from the professor I had a Skype interview with a few weeks ago notifying me of my acceptance. There were close to 650 applications for a class of 30-35 students. Formal acceptance letter is supposed to come in a few days.

To the poster below, oh.... I think then I might be rejected because I applied in Jan. 11th....... Do you think that I still have chance to get accepted? I am permanent resident, not a pure International student.

I applied in mid-ish January. Look at the admissions for last year if you want a good idea of when you're going to hear back (assuming you just got your app in).

I was accepted to their ds. Also, >3.9 GPA w/ published papers in my major.

Has anyone heard back from the new MIDS program at Duke? rnrnThey said people would start hearing this week and so far nothing on here.

Application to MSc+DPhil was unsuccessful, but was offered a place on the MSc program. Still happy and pleased with the result.

Accepted into the program through e-mail. Strong LoR's, above average GRE's, graduated from an Ivy with an engineering degree.
