TTPB: Hi, my field is transportation. I talked with Prof. Di and she said the process would be very slow this year. As someone below said, it could be the funding issue. She told me to expect a decision in the last week of March.

MEng program. 4 years work experience. California licensed PE. Shitty GPA. Okay LOR. Very solid SOP.

TTPB: I emailed Scott Kelly. He said all decisions should be out by mid-March.

Guys has anyone received any update? Any information? Till when they are gonna release decisions?

Got an email to check the portal. Was expecting it so I'm not upset with it lol

School sent e-mail to me and school saide " This year, we had a substantially larger pool of candidates than the positions available. As such, admission was very competitive." : (

Cliche rejection letter. Shit this university! Already got admitted by top program in this country. Connection dominates! if you want this program, you should contact faculty members there in advance, otherwise, I suggest you save your money. I had four published journal papers (1*Q1, 3*Q2), one under review (Q1), one conference paper. Anyway, it's not the time for structural engineering, nor is it worth for the phd program in this field. Also, Shit UB. really hate the department there, crappy school.

A little bit depressed. This week the POI emailed me said my posters are really attractive to him and my application got high scores under review, my background is pretty good, he will consider my case again. BUT right now the rejection is in my email box. Direct rejection without asking whether will you consider be admitted as an MS student. 2 publications and another one is under review. Anyway, I will continue to work hard on scientific research, but at the same time, I also envy the students who are admitted.
