To the post asking about when I heard back from Yale: I had an interview mid-January with the PI I want to work with and I heard back from the chair of admission committee with my PI cced through email Feb 6th as I mentioned in my post. The official decisions will come out in the next few days but I don't know exactly when. I hope this helps.

I aleady received an offer from another school ranked better than OSU, so the rejection is insignificant.

Got offer letter in email. They even gave me a fellowship. Wow.

To the poster below: I was interviewed by several professors in different calls and mentioned admission was being discussed by the committee, but still needed to be agreed by the whole admissions committee, so I would have to wait to official admission letter or them informally reaching out when the decision is made. No news so far but given there’s a poster below that got admitted today and I’m in his same status (U), news must be about to come. Congrats to the admitted!
