To the UMass post below, what is the area of study? Also, some specifics of your profile?

For those who got interviews with profs other than POI listed on their SoP--was it from the same research area or did it seem they were trying to recruit you to another area?

8.98/10 GPA. I got admit for MS in Cybersecurity instead of MS in CS.

To the poster below who got admitted to UMass Ph.D. Fall 20 program. When did you submit your application? Did you already know some professors at UMass? It seems so early to get an admit. It would be great if you can give a little more information.
