Another reject. Totally shattered.

Letter of admission attached. 2 yr work experience. Master's degree from Canada. Systems specialization.

Unfortunately for me I know a few who got admits and that has led me to the belief that Stanford admission process is extremely random. Even the committee members are unsure of what they are looking for. Seems like they have lottery system at place and just randomly pick people. Not a case of sour grapes. Just a conclusion based on data. On second thoughts this could be a nice topic for a paper.

To the purdue admit below, can you please share your profile?

Working in Oracle since Nov 2013. 1 industrial internship and 1 research internship before that.

Contacted the dept for the decisions timeline. They said around 15th april for MS CSE.

Undergraduate in a famous foreign school. Grades were very low at first due to language barrier but managed to improve semester after semester. Finished 1 and currently doing 3 research projects.

Had an interview for the ESOP in February and was notified that I received one on March 14.

Expected but still... A life dream has just vanished. 3a2r0w => Time to choose.

No news on funding. Hope to listen some good news related to funding as well in near future.
