Sunday afternoon phone call. 6 spots for poetry this year. Grateful to be accepted after being waitlisted last year.

YAY! 1a/1w/2r/3p.

I received an odd email from them saying that they wouldn't forward my application to my program until I sent them additional materials. When I went into the portal to check what materials they were asking for, the form told me that they were waiting on my final transcript. I sent them my official transcript when I was applying, but I haven't graduated yet lol and won't until May 7, so I don't know what to do about that. I got into two other programs, so I'm not heartbroken or anything, just a little befuddled.

Same as the other two posters below--a complimentary but vague email that let me know I was on the waitlist without really using that word. But it's okay!

They have been very kind so far and great about answering all my questions. Got an official acceptance email, then a second where we scheduled a phone call, then a few more from other faculty members. I'm thrilled!

Received a rejection notification from Sean Bishop around noon on Tuesday. Mind you, I was in my capstone fiction workshop class when I got the notification and I was HURT! Received an email from someone in the English Department notifying me that I am on the waitlist. They enjoyed my sample and mentioned that I had a strong recommendation. Very grateful this application season. Best of luck writers. 1a/1w/2r/5p

Call from the program director around 3:00pm CST. Was not expecting an acceptance this first go round because I'm a graduating senior and was on the heels of a rejection from UW Madison just three hours prior. Nonetheless, grateful to be admitted this first time around and FULLY FUNDED. Best of luck to you all.

About 2-3 weeks after application submission. For first residency with July 2020 start.

1a/1w/3r. No word on funding in the official acceptance email, but international students were required to submit financial affidavits and TA applications with their main application. I spoke to the director a few weeks ago – he said that if I've made it clear on my financial affidavit that I can't fund myself, I'll only be accepted if MSU can fund me. So I suppose they're funding me!

Status is "cancelled" which is same as rejected.

Talked to the program director and found out I have a *favorable* spot on the waitlist. Here's to hoping this is the year (and also hoping that those already admitted choose to take their talents elsewhere). 0a/1w/3r/7p
