Had an interview Friday but also still have not heard back! Other people who interviewed, please post when you've gotten the call!

I haven't heard anything yet. My ringer is on loud!

To the poster below: The questionnaire was emailed on Friday "which sets forth the expectations and requirements for successful completion of the 3-year master's degree program." The email said it was the final step in the application process. I did not use my GRE scores, I used my MAT score which was 413. My GPA was 3.8. I have been working as an SLP on a waiver for the last 4 years at an elementary and a middle school.

I have not received any new info whether or not I have been accepted/rejected. I have not received any info on an interview either. Based on my most recent communication with an admissions counselor, we should be getting updates by next week at the latest!

to the person below. What type of Survey was given from Cal state? and what were your stats when applying to cal state?

I was told this morning via E-mail that the committee is still reviewing files for Winter 2018 Online SLP program. They are currently working on making their selections, but I was told they may contact candidates by the end of next week!

My second time applying and accepted! Anything can happen! If anyone else was accepted, is there a Facebook group?

To those who have been accepted to NOVA can you clarify if you are on-campus or online? It looks like applicants to both on-campus and online are both awaiting notification. I am sure I am not the only one who'd love to know which program is currently doing interviews and acceptance. Thanks a bunch!! :-)

This is such a weight lifted off my shoulders! I have been trying to get into a grad program for 3 years and finally! I applied for their Fall 2017 term and then was rolled over to the winter 2018 term! My interview was Tuesday October 10th and I was accepted on Wednesday October 11th! I am so so excited! If you have been denied, do not give up! You will get in somewhere! Each year I observed, volunteered, worked as a SLPA, or , retook a course. I wanted to stand out as a candidate! I called to see if there was a projected date that they will be notifying applicants. I was told they hope to get e-mail notices out mid-late October. Patiently waiting...... :-)

I just called to check the status of my application, and all they were able to tell me is that it has been submitted for review and that they are unable to give any further information in regards to the final decision. I asked about the timeframe in which applicants should be notified about admittance, and they also were unable to say over the phone. Just told me to keep checking my mail, email, and phone for news! Sooo ready to know.

Got an email from Dr. Stillman. I applied last fall and was waitlisted. I'm out of field and my GPA was not great, however my last 60 of undergrad was a 3.5 and my COMD leveling course GPA was a 3.8. Very average GRE scores but have been working in corporate healthcare for 3 years and had experience work with kids overseas. Just to show, it's possible for anyone! Good luck to all that applied!

Still waiting for news.. Will they let us know if we're rejected anytime soon?? Also, I'm looking for ways to make my resume better. I've shadowed at a couple of places. I was wondering what everyone has been doing to make theirs look good. I graduated with my bachelors about a year ago so I'm just stuck between working and applying to schools

I am not sure about how it works as far as applying to the Spring 2018 session while waiting on results for the Winter 2018 session. That is definitely something to think about! I hope that we all receive results ASAP so that we are able to make the appropriate preparations. I am keeping an eye on my email notifications and checking my phone frequently throughout the day.

To check your application status, just call the university number to be directed to someone with graduate admissions to the SLP program, and they are able to see where your application is within the process. You should also be given some sort of notice if there are any questions in regards to transcripts or application details. Pre-reqs have to be completed prior to program acceptance from what I understand. Good luck!
