To those who interviewed: any idea when we will be hearing back from the department? Did everyone interview on Feb 8?

Gutted :( I really wanted to work with Laura Chrisman but I guess it's not meant to be

Got the interview, but no offer. Wasn't the best fit anyways, but I was hoping to get an offer.

Got an interview, but didn't quite make it in! Wasn't an ideal fit, so I'm not too bummed, but I was hoping to get the offer.

They noted that applications were much higher this year with an acceptance rate of 3%.

Very nice rejection letter. They only took around 2-3% of applicants, and this was a last minute add-on for me, so I'm not bothered. 3a/5r/6p.

Yeehaw. Saddled up for a rejection and was not left hanging.

Applied for the Literature and Culture track. Probably the best and most thoughtful standard rejection letter I've seen so far, will definitely be applying again (I'll be going into an MA program after several PhD rejections this year).

TPB: The portal says decisions will be made by mid-April. I really hope they don't wait that long - seems inconsiderate as that is the deadline to accept/reject most other schools offers

teaching assistantship of 25,000 + top scholar award of 4000

3% acceptance rate.

Applied to lit track. Email said only 2% of applicants were accepted - 360 applications for 10 positions. I had gotten the top 15% email, as an FYI.

Any idea about when will UW inform about admission?
