Whenever I read some people's comments saying "Shocked" about acceptances, I thought it was silly. I literally could not see this coming. Keep your hopes alive. 2a/2w/9r/11p

Email to check the portal. I noticed that some students got an interview on Jan26, then I started to contact the program staff three weeks ago. Even I sent email to different administrators each week, I didn't get any responses before I got this unconcerned "official" rejection.

Receive an email saying"Thank you very much for your application to the graduate program in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am sorry to inform you that we are unable to admit you to our program for Fall 2023. We had 204 applications this year, and so we find ourselves having to turn away extremely well qualified applicants. We appreciate your interest in our program, and wish you all the best in your future pursuits."

My waitlist streak continues! Looks like I'm going to be running down the clock on the 15th. If you have an acceptance and plan to decline, please save me (and my wife) several weeks of psychic torment and do so soon. Congratulations to those accepted first round! 1a/4w/4r/12p
