International student, Canadian undergrad degree. TAship for $7K, so $19K left to cover. Will probably decline offer

They give out international offers at the same time as domestic, but the proportion of international:domestic is very low. There is a quota of international students that the program can take (because of how the provincial government provides funding to the universities). Despite having a class of 60-70 students in the MA, only a fraction (5-10) are international students.

Please, has any international student heard from University of Toronto yet? Does anyone know if they offer admissions for Canadians before considering international students?

Any news for the PhD applications? We're nearing the end of the first week of March so I'm curious if anybody has heard anything yet.

I emailed to check in and they said I was 3rd out of 98 on the international waitlist. Hellllll yeah! Also that first post that says waitlisted from February was me. Meant to click "interview" and I don't know how to change it. Sorry.

I inquired about status with potential advisor, was informed I would not be offered a place due to limited spots for international students. I had been put forward to the committee stage.

Email to check the website for application status. Canadian mature student with a BA in Psy from a Canadian university.

To the poster below: they sent out the first round of PhD acceptances almost a month ago, on Feb 10th. There really was only one formal round. Every acceptance since then has been based on any spots still open from the first round picks declining their admissions offers. By now everyone in the first round has had to accept or decline the offer so if you haven't heard yet, you are probably on a waitlist.

To the people that got accepted on February 25th, did the e-mail state that you had to notify the admissions on your decision within two weeks? Or did it not say anything?....

Domestic student.

International student, GPA 3.9X, full-time studied stat for 4 years, some research experience, got admitted by email. This is a self-funded program starting from this year, and the tuition is almost 3 times of domestic. So still wondering if I will go... (Best of luck for rest of you~)

Received an email directing me to the SGS website with the status changed to "Decision Made". So happy! This is my 2nd time applying to this program.

I got an email telling me to check the website. Accepted with full funding.

Has anyone received financial offer? Or they will contact separately?

to the posters below: I haven't heard anything from UoT yet. So frustrated. I've sent an e-mail this week to Carolynn Branton and she hasn't replied. However, last week in an e-mail exchange with Louis Tentsos, I was told that they have sent out their first set of rejects/acceptances. So if we haven't heard anything, our application is being considered. 0a/2r/1p . Seriously, this is my dream school, if you don't plan to attend, please withdraw or reject the offer. Be kind everyone!

still waiting for the feedback... anyone gets the offer from this program?
