Accepted without interview. I was assigned two supervisors somehow.

I'm the MSt English poster with the Clarendon– to answer your question, I haven't received a college offer yet, but having a college doesn't prevent you from getting Clarendon. And my offer letter did indicate that I had been nominated for funding

Received a Clarendon offer via email on the afternoon of the 26th! My dept. belongs to the social sciences division. I have not been assigned a college yet. In the letter it says that they'll be working on partnering with colleges and other sources during April and May. It says that if I have already been assigned to a college they may reassign me. Regarding being notified about nomination - From what I understand each department does it differently - some notify you without prompting, some will only tell you if you ask, some won't tell you even if you ask.

To Clarendon recipient (MPhil in English) below: many congratulations! Would you mind letting us know if you had received a college placement before receiving your Clarendon offer? (And did you know you were nominated for Clarendon before today?) I got my college placement last weke and am wondering if I still have a shot at Clarendon....

To the OII/Social Data Science MSc applicants below: I can only speak for my experience with the DPhil interview panel, but hopefully I can provide a bit of guidance on what to expect. The questions I was asked over a c. 45 min Skype interview: tell us about the most interesting or unexpected finding you came across in your recent publication; what is it that makes your proposed study unique or important; apart from the supervisor you have proposed, are there any other faculty in the department that you could see yourself working with, and if so why; how did you hear about the OII; what are your long-term career and personal ambitions. I think that's about it! More than anything, be prepared to stand your ground and defend your interest in whatever topic it is that most floats your boat - they're a friendly bunch, but will gently test your passion/understanding of the topic at hand rather than merely take your responses at face value, smile, and move on.

I've received a Clarendon award! For those still waiting to hear back, it looks like they're still rolling them out so don't lose hope

To all the IR MPhil'ers. I think speculation isn't very helpful, and neither are comparisons to last year. All of the offers have been slowed down due to the industrial action that occurred a few weeks back, so people can still expect offers this coming week.

To the poster below, I have not heard either. Don't know why they can't just send a rejection and end the anxiety. According to last year submissions on this forum, seems like most acceptances were done by 23rd :/

What is the timeframe within which students need to reject/accept an offer?

Anyone else still waiting to hear from the DPIR? Feeling like it’s unlikely to get offered now after so many have heard... or could no news be good news?

Hey guys, I was interviewed on Mar 9 and was really puzzled by the style of the interview. Like only behavioural questions, which didn't seem at all normal to me. What did you guys get on your interviews?
