Can't say it was unexpected, but no harm in taking a shot. My first reject - and really hoping I get something! Fingers crossed. Profile: Decent GPAs, 8 International journal papers, 7 conference papers, currently doing my Master's with thesis at UT Austin. Worked after my Bachelor's for a year. Decent internships and LoRs. Was just checking the portal and it didn't show my application checklist. I knew the rejection is coming. After one refresh, the decision letter came. I get to know the result even before my email does, lol.

Check today on the portal and see I got admitted. However, I didn't receive an email or see a decision letter. Maybe they are on the way.
