Thank you for your answer! I applied to NYU Courant and am worried seeing results for Tandon coming in.

To the poster below, NYU Tandon is the school of engineering and is different from NYU Courant (which falls under GSAS - Graduate School of Arts and Sciences).

Is there any difference between applications for NYU Courant, NYU Tandon, and NYU GSAS? I am confused. Are decisions made separately?

Hi got an interview request today with a window of 2 days to attempt it. Fingers crossed. I had applied around 11th Jan 2020.

Had an interview early Jan, got an email to check status on spire last week on 20th with acceptance

I too got an email asking to check SPIRE but status there says Update Pending. Does anyone know by when SPIRE reflects the decision? Earlier the status said On Hold (the explanation was that while the graduate faculty has recommended my application for admission, they are waiting on my official scores).

What is the format of interview for Columbia ? How much time do they give to prepare for each question ?

International Applicants – have patience, don't lose hope. Most of the posts below are either US citizens or have their UG degrees of an American university. Speaking strictly in terms of logistics, it's easier for universities to take these students as PhD candidates than it is for them to take international students. So hang in there. I know the nights are sleepless and life is not as much fun, but you will do great.
