To the person who asked about whether the Clarendon award I got is full or not - the other person who answered your question is right. All Clarendons are full funding, I'm just waiting to see which funding sources I'm assigned to. Thanks for the congratulations and I've got my fingers crossed for you if you're still waiting to hear about funding!

To the poster below asking about MAPSS/Oxford. I am also probably going to do the MAPSS program. From my discussions with the faculty at Oxford, it depends on your background. If your BA is also in philosophy/political theory, then the MSc should prepare you for a PhD in the same field. Since I don't have that background, it is not long enough to give me the background to get into a PhD while MAPSS will. MAPSS has 9 courses in one year which you can take from any of the social sciences to really tailor your experience, which is what I find most appealing about it.

To the question below about Clarendon. The offers are for full scholarships. As explained on the fund's Web site, the awards cover full tuition and college fees (whether Home/EU or Overseas), plus a stipend. In order to make more offers, Clarendon shares the burden of the award allocation funds with various partnerships. Each awardee has to wait until s/he receives information on the breakdown of funding, but whether the money comes partly from a college or a trust, it's guaranteed to be a fully funded scholarship with the advertised stipend.
