I was the person who opted rejected lol sorry for the confusion, I haven't recieved a decision yet, but I am assuming I got rejected. And ttpb who got accepted 2/23, thank you for your answer, and did you receive the decision today, or did you just chose today's data to add a comment?

Not that I like getting rejection emails but the fact that they give you the chance to ask why your application was not accepted deserves credit.

TPB: Did they only send you an email with the rejection letter? Or did they update it on your portal....I checked the portal and still no change but I haven't received an email yet..

I was sure I would be admitted :|

Why…

Thank you for your application to the University of Washington Graduate School. On behalf of the Department of Economics, I am afraid that we are not able to offer you admission to the PhD program. Each year, we receive a large number of applications from qualified applicants, many more than we can admit, and this year was no exception. Unfortunately, we are not able to respond to individual questions regarding admission decisions. However, please know that these decisions are based on a careful and comprehensive evaluation of each application. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

ttpb: Not the person you are referring to, but sorry for confusing you with the interview tag. I was accepted without interview. I don't think they do interviews.

To the UW rejected below, how would you know that you are rejected? Did you have an interview before?

ttpb: disregard the interview tag. the open houses are Feb 26th and March 5th. You had to already RSVP though

TTPB: Congratulations! Which track did you apply for?

Very sad. This is my top choice. I was waitlisted three years ago, and I got a even worse result this time.

No official notice (waiting for funding to be settled) but POI let me know.

Email from the admission committee chair

Would someone comment about when the open house for atmospheric science at UW will be?

Yes, funding is included but details will be provided later. I got an email from the chair of admissions......Excited!
