" This was written in the decision letter i received. Did others receive the same letter? Has anyone received an acceptance with funding yet?

TTPB: I interviewed for CALA in January and CaTA last week. Both processes were decentralized (i.e. communication directly from the program directors for that assistantship, not through the portal or an automated process). No idea about scholarships.

Applied straight out of undergrad with only 2 languages - expected but disappointing nonetheless.

Had a Skype interview in January, was not invited for visiting day but received email of acceptance by PI end of February.

Submitted completed application on Jan. 15th. Received an email to check the portal, was denied. A teeennnyy bit bummed because this has been my dream school since highschool (applied for undergrad (rejected), Masters (rejected) and PhD (rejected) lol) but congrats to those who got in!

I emailed UNC to ask my admission status. The reply is "Typically, admissions decisions are released on a rolling basis. The first round of admitted students have been notified, and waitlisted candidates will be notified as early as April 15 or as late as mid-May. Please let me know if you have any more questions."

I emailed to professor Zheng to check on the status he replied "All decisions will be made by May 1. Please be patient and don't email again before that."

TPB. I wrote to the Program Director (Prof. Zheng) asking for an update. He has just replied.
