TPB: I am international (not Canadian) and rejected yesterday via e-mail.

0a/1w/5r/2p e-mail with a letter dated Feb. 25 attached. Those Canadians know empathy and how to reject with compassion: "This year we had 276 applications for only 11 places in our graduate programs. This puts us in the difficult position of having to say ‘no' to a very large number of accomplished and talented candidates..."

To those who got accepted or rejected by UofT Ph.D. in Economics below, are you international students or Canadian? Could you please share your profile? I am an international student and I haven't heard from the school yet. Quite curious what's going on. Thank you very much!

So far I saw, one person was accepted to the PhD program(exercise sciences). Did anyone else get any e-mail? Or changed Acorn status?

TTPBM: Congrats if so! My ACORN does not say anything, so it's unclear if it's because I didn't get an offer, or because they're mailing rejections out via snail mail, or if they haven't decided yet for me, orwhat's happening there. Did you confirm the acceptance?

Accepted with scholarship but not into the advanced standing option. No way I am going unless I can get into advanced standing.

Iranian, Undergraduate at IUT, applied for MS, got an admission offer for PhD.

I applied for an MSc. and due to experience I was accepted in the direct entry PhD program!! I went through 3 long interviews...So excited!

status still reads under review. Loosing hope. Canadian MS with 3.82 CG. any one got admission this year?
