Has anyone heard (or not heard) about funding for economics (or general social sciences) masters? If you've already gotten funding - did the department tell you you were nominated beforehand? Thanks!

To the poster below: the scholarships at Oxford seem to be extremely limited for Masters. I've been accepted into Cambridge as well, and situation is the same. I've given up all hope already. On the bright side, I also got accepted in the theoretical and mathematical physics program at University of Munich in Germany, and it's free!!!! Y'all should check it out too

To answer the post below asking if these MSts are worth it-- No. Masters programmes in the UK, especially in the Humanities, are not worth much these days. To an outsider, Oxford may sound prestigious, but the truth is that they're very willing to accept you so they can grab tens of thousands of dollars, and gradually more people are becoming aware of this. The program exploits students who are drawn in by the prestige / the idea that a Mst will benefit them. Good luck.

To the poster below: I asked the academic assistant yesterday, and she told me that they don't know nothing about timings and nominations because fundjng are administered centrally. However, you can try to apply to college funding.

Any word on funding? I looked up the 'Fees and Scholarship search' and only the Clarendon funds are available for US students who didn't apply to Rhodes and Marshall. I can't shell out $60k to go here for one year...
