I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for my undergrad, and am currently a co-inventor on a patent (pending) and have submitted my first paper (as the sole co-author), and will attend the University of Iowa this fall.

To the poster below, I emailed Mary Yotty today. She told me that there are 41 people on the waitlist and gave me my ranking.

Found out I was near the bottom of the ranked waitlist, so I decided to decline my spot. Unlikely that I would have been accepted off the list.

They said I was very high on the waitlist. Please decline the offer if you are planning on going somewhere else.

Other offers pushing for decision, so I emailed the program. They said the offers had been extended and just recently accepted. Online portal reflected my rejection a few hours later. If you haven't heard, you should assume rejection. And congrats to the lucky few!

My professor refused to provide me an LoR and said that it is not a good university for me :-|
