Received offer of an Oxford-Radcliffe Graduate Scholarship (4 years fully funded -- honestly never heard the name of this scholarship before). As an overseas student (non UK, non EU, non US-Canada-Australia, non Pakistan-India-South Africa-Hong Kong), I would still say to my fellow overseas applicants: don't waist your time w/ universities in the UK. I just got lucky and got this scholarship. There is little to no scholarship around for us!

Re: The first round of Clarendons: Thanks for your reply. I've been following this website and studentroom, so I'm aware that quite a few people already have been awarded Clarendons. However, I haven't seen a single person from the medical sciences division who has gotten this award. Does anybody know if any students from the medical sciences division have received Clarendons yet?

To the poster below: I know that the first round of Clarendon awards has been assigned because several people on this forum (as well as on The Student Room thread and the Facebook postgraduate group), myself included, have received an offer in the past few weeks. (I cannot confirm that these have gone out in every single subject, but the offers that have been disclosed on the forums are from applicants in a broad range of disciplines.) The offer letter stipulates that the recipient has two weeks from the date of issue to accept or decline. My decision was due at the end of March; others were due today. Declined awards will be re-assigned around now as a result, etc. More info is available on the Clarendon page and on earlier posts below. Best of luck to you.

To the American asking about funding: The first round of Clarendon scholarships were awarded throughout March, with a two-week deadline to accept. This means that awards that are declined will be re-assigned around now. Frankly, as an American, I find the Oxford system painfully slow but still less brutal than academia in the US, where a Masters is rarely funded, if ever, and costs twice as much as it does in the UK.

To the person below asking about Clarendon funding: it is worth noting in the UK it is pretty rare for a Master's student to end up with any sort of funding - most will self-fund - this is as true for home students as it is for internationals. In terms of Clarendon, it seems as if most have been distributed - but I can't be 100% sure. Try contacting your department to see whether you've been nominated?

Haven't heard from funding. Is all of Clarendon out? I am starting feel like Oxford is just out to get money from us Americans and other international students. Who has a little under 100,000 to spend for two years of college? Lucky few people who do, Oxford shouldn't accept people without letting them know about funding right away. This is cruel and unnecessary.

To the poster asking about funding for the MPhil Econ. For the ESRC, the Economics Department approached me around March 13 asking for a research proposal. That's how I found out about the nomination. Emailing the departmental admissions administrator, asking directly for nominations, has also worked for some people. Some applicants in the SoSci division have received Clarendon offers so the board has met. If the econ dept has already notified the winners, I do not know.

E-mail earlier than expected (only submitted four weeks ago). Considering ringing up and asking for brief feedback.

Msc in the Social Sciences online declare any news online. My department hasn't responded to my email yet when I asked. So if any one has, do post. After a month of waiting I am not sure if I will be able to attend due to no response on the funding part or lack of. Terribly disappointed.
