Are the ECE PhD rejects out yet? No update since the application submission. Waiting for at least the rejections to come out.

I declined the offer. I hope someone on the waiting list can get it.

Surprise reject, I have heard people with way poor profiles getting acceptance into this program in previous years.

Was in contact with a PI since December and still couldn't even get into an MS or PhD. Letter dated 22 April. I guess they didn't have enough spaces, given last year's deferrals. Anyway, good to have a closure.

TTPB: Did you try emailing/contacting the schools for your status? Also, can you share your profile please? That way I may be able to tell what might be the situation.

What the hell is wrong with UCSD! Why charge a hefty amount of money when you cannot release the results by the stipulated date? Obviously people will go elsewhere irrespective of the result. Is it like a loyalty test or something that we are supposed to wait for them to admit us!! These are the universities who emailed us that the deadline will not be extended just because it is COVID. Shame on them!

Generic rejection mail - ICVLSI track. Not surprised, given that they rolled out a few admits in Feb or so. Disappointed however that they took this long to give a decision.

Super excited!! Got admitted to Meng pgm.Undergrad degree in EEE from India - gpa 8.7/10 and MBA from Canada - gpa 3.8/4. 4 years of work experience. Got admitted to 2 other schools in US. Not yet decided on accepting!!

Applied for masc...wasn't able to get a suitable supervisor.

I was waitlisted in March and contacted graduate admissions. Today they informed that I will receive the decision on 22 April. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Rejected for fall'21 admission. Offered to be re-evaluated for spring '22 admissions.

*Ignore Waitlist* [TTPB]: No I didn't have an interview or was contacted by the POI. I know the chances are very slim without an interview but why keep people waiting. For christ's sake just send me the rejection and I will be ok with it.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, our admissions timeline has been delayed. Final offers will be sent in early May. Check website at ECE Department -> Deadline Requirements and Results. They have updated the status after receiving multiple emails.
