Apologies--my last post was incorrect. I received an unofficial admit via email on Dec. 23, 2021 (NOT on Feb 4); the official admit was on Jan 10, 2022.

2 first-author papers in respectable journals, 4 internships (2 at national labs, 1 REU, 1 industry), no conference posters/presentations, no significant academic awards. Very strong rec letters from research supervisors who knew me well. Quite involved extra-curriculars, if that matters. GRE not sent to this school.

PI sent a generic informal email inviting for interview.

The PI seems to be spamming many with the same generic email even if there is non existent research fit lol.

Informal acceptance from POI. Will receive official acceptance in around a month.

No Scholarship

Received email from a professor to send a one page document discussing my research work. After receiving the document, he may take an interview.

First author on four publications, faculty advisor on two, five years research experience, and seven years industry experience as an engineer. I didn't submit my GRE, but my scores were 162V 154Q and 4AW. I met with two professors one-on-one at the open house in October and really liked them. Still in shock I got in!

Had an interview with a Professor 2 weeks ago. Today I got my full funding RA offer.

Notified via email to check the decision from the application portal. – I had experience in 3 different research labs (1 being an REU), 1 publication, and 3 poster/research presentations. All my experience was in a different focus area than the one I want to pursue in my Ph.D. However, I have the foundational coursework for the area I am pursuing and am ready to take grad-level courses in that area.
