It says the number of applications was exceptionally high. GPA 3.66, TOEFL 106, 2 under review papers, 24 months of work experience, and several teaching assistant experiences. Not unexpected. Status on the portal is still "Complete, under review".

Please, someone tell me his/her status on the Toronto website. Is it rejected or still under review?

Good GPA + GRE and some really good projects of my domain (AI). 1 paper publication + 1 conference proceedings. Summer internship at CERN. 2 very strong LORs and 1 perhaps average. 3 years research experience. 8.0 IELTS score. And in the rejection mail they say "Gaining more computer science-related research experience and/or work experience and improving grades, GRE and/or (if applicable) English language scores may help to strengthen your application." It's all about luck. A blind shot gamble.

GRE:326, no publication, subpar GPA.

Top tier Indian research institute. Degree in abstract mathematics. Decent GPA, 2 international publications in machine learning, multiple under review, strong LORs, strong SOP. Rejects from CMU, Princeton, Stanford and now UoT.

Rejections from CMU, UIUC, UBC, UTA and now UoT. Only 3 colleges left. Decided to go big or go home. Home appears likely.

Applying from Brazil. Graduated with honors from top engineering school in 2015. 1st in my class. Exchange program at UofT in 2013 in ECE. 4 years work experience with Machine Learning.

Tier 3 University from India. Very ambitious.

Generic reject. Tier 2 Indian University. Such a long wait for this....

Got rejected this morning. Field is theory. I am from top Canadian university, high GPA, and good ref letters but not research experience. Guess I was already on the wait list so recjection is expected.

Finally rejected. Told acceptance rate < 10% this year. Should focus on research experience. GPA is useless since everyone has a high GPA.

TTPB: I mailed to Toronto CS to inquiry the decision date, they reply: Applicants can expect to receive a formal decision about their application any time between now and the end of April 2019.
