Received an email to check the online status portal. Official notification from department.

Interviewed by POI. Give positive feedback.

The first good news! I directly applied to Ph.D. after my undergraduate. 2 papers(1 top-tier conference), 1y research experience. Really excited.

Received an email notifying me that I'm on their shortlist and asking if I'm still interested in joining the CS theory group.

with POI, specifically Rina Dechter

had one official interview from POI, security

Received a positive email from a potential supervisor (who I clearly mentioned on my application) with some extra info. I believe the strange "Thank you for your application" email from yesterday signaled the time at which application packages were delivered to individual faculty members.

Received a 'thank you' email too. A friend of mine also received this. I submitted my application on 12/15.

Received a 'thank you' email -- that says my application is now available to faculties -- today from the dean. Weird everything was submitted on 10/30/2018 very early and they just got done sorting all the applications? Anyone else getting this?

Guess I'm not going to be doing my masters this year.

I became an old man while waiting for this.

Finally.
