GPA 8.1/10 from 2nd tier university, India. 2 years of relevant work experience in a Startup. 1 research paper at Springer & 1 issued patent. Top 18% on StackOverflow plus a good GitHub profile. So far I've received only one admit from a tier 3 university and now waiting for the last one. It's pretty depressing and heart-breaking getting rejection after rejection :(

I did not get ANY of my moderate unis. I seriously don't know how I got one of my most ambitious unis.

We cannot cite a specific reason for your denial, but our graduate program is very competitive, and we are unable to admit many excellent applicants. We wish you well in your future endeavors. What's going on? Have they rolled out all the admissions?

Results of the MCS program are still not given by 4/11. If you send an email to ask if all decisions were given or when your decisions will be given, they always reply like this “If you have not been admitted or declined, your application is still being considered. You can check the status of your application in EngineeringCAS. It is up to the admissions committee as to when a decision is made. There is no specific date.” But the fact is you won't get useful information except “complete” in the engineering cas system even for those were already notified admitted in the email. Also, they insisted “There is no specific data”. Yes, I know that. But the date is going close to 15 April, don't you think your efficiency is a little bit low? I don't know if the admission committee has been aware of the complaints on this forum as the staff in the email promised he/she would let them aware. Shame on you!

I saw a few admits in march for MCS. But did anyone got admit for MS CS (Thesis?). And also anyone wrote a mail to the grad committee, by when will they be giving all decisions?

No GRE, No IELTS, No Paper. Only some research experience and pure luck.

Got into a better university though. Will reject the offer.

Is the online program of UT Austin (MSCo) really that competitive ? Will it be valued compared to on campus masters in some low ranked colleges in the US ?

Got notified via email that I am not being considered for admission. Few people got recommended for Online MS, I was not even one of them. SOP and LORs were decent but lack of research experience and papers must have been the reason.
